Graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava in 1985. Between 1985 and 1993 she worked at the Department of Chief Architect in Bratislava as the head of the studio for the City Districts Development. In 2000 she became a member of the Slovak Chamber of Architects. In the field of architectural practice she has primarily focused on housing projects, urban plans and studies.
Since 2003 she has been working as a lecturer at the Faculty of Architecture of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, where she currently leads the Institute of Architecture of Residential Buildings and at the same time devotes herself to the systematic research of housing architecture. She has published more than 350 articles, scientific studies, reviews, as well as several book publications and scientific monographs as author and co-author (Residential Houses in Slovakia, New Housing Models, New Concepts of Family Houses Architecture in Slovakia, Slovak Family House 2000-2015 / Slovak Family House 2000-2015).
She is a member and organizer of the international jury for the ARCH Magazine Awards as well as an international jury member of awards like the Facade of the Year and the Baumit Life Challenge.
As a curator she had conducted multiple domestic and international architectural exhibitions.
Between 2010 and 2021 she was the editor-in-chief of the magazine ARCH (www.arch.sk), focused on architecture and culture.
Since 2021, she has been the editor-in-chief of PROJEKT magazine (published by Slovak Architects Society since 1959).
